Lucas Oliveira, Partner

Lucas Oliveira is the head of Gewählt Law. He started his education and career in Finance, having worked for major corporations, such as Deloitte. After his immigration process from Brazil to the U.S., Lucas realized how he could transfer his skills and process-oriented abilities to the immigration industry. He started to draft professional and business plans for people who were looking to immigrate to the U.S. Later on, he started providing educational mentorship for those pursuing the EB visa category.

Philip Ahn, Managing Attorney

Philip is a U.S.-licensed attorney in Maryland with extensive experience in immigration and business law, specializing in visa categories for highly skilled professionals and multinational executives. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law.

Before joining Gewählt Law, Philip served as an Attorney Investigator with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, where he handled housing discrimination cases under the Fair Housing Act and analyzed socioeconomic data to advance fair housing. His passion for public interest also led him to contribute his skills in immigration and family law. Today, he brings this breadth of legal and federal experience to managing all aspects of Gewählt Law’s client representation and operations.

Bruna Danquimaia

Bruna Danquimaia is the Senior Operations Manager at Gewählt Law. She holds a degree in Trilingual Executive Secretariat and a postgraduate degree in Leadership and Human Development. With over 14 years of experience in multinational companies across various industries, Bruna has spent the past year working directly with U.S. immigration processes, including EB-2 NIW, EB-1, O-1, and L-1 visa categories. She currently leads Gewählt’s operations, focusing on streamlining internal processes, driving strategic team management, and increasing overall productivity. Her work is defined by a systemic mindset, operational excellence, and a strong focus on scalable results.

Nathaly Bertolucci

Nathaly Bertolucci is a multilingual legal professional (foreign licensed attorney) with over a decade of experience in Legal English. At Gewählt Law, she supports U.S. immigration visa processes, including EB-1, EB-2 NIW, O-1, and L-1 petitions. With early education in France and the United States and higher education in Brazil and Uruguay, she brings a unique combination of legal knowledge and intercultural fluency to the team. Her background in foreign legal systems allows her to bridge communication and documentation gaps effectively in complex international contexts.

Marina Karam

Marina Karam is the Legal Manager at Gewählt Law and a foreign licensed attorney. She holds a law degree from Faculdade Milton Campos in Brazil and earned her LL.M. from Cornell Law School, one of the most prestigious institutions in the United States. With extensive experience in U.S. employment-based immigration processes, she focuses primarily on EB-1, EB-2 NIW, O-1 and L-1 visa categories. Throughout her career, Marina has specialized in strategic profile analysis, petition drafting, and managing complex immigration cases, with technical precision, clear communication, and a strong commitment to client goals.

Markus Sgambato

Markus Vinicius Sgambato is the Commercial Manager leading Gewahlt Law’s global expansion strategy. A specialist in B2B sales for C-Level executives, he has a solid career in commercial leadership and more than a decade of experience building high-performance sales teams, with strong focus on customer satisfaction and service excellence.

He previously spent 10 years in the Brazilian renewable energy sector, contributing to commercial development and large-scale growth initiatives in a highly competitive market. With a degree in Communications, Markus combines strategic vision, relationship-building skills, and deep expertise in complex sales processes to drive results, strengthen brands, and accelerate business growth globally.
